How cute.

Eat a lot of apples?

In the days of yore, when it was acceptable to stick sticky things to any old thing.
I stuck a Fred Flintstone sticker - courtesy of the dentist - to my tv when i was but a pre-teen. The rentals were furious, understandably. Did you get stickers as a reward for letting a stranger stick his/her fingers in your mouth while indiscriminately asking you questions as a kid?

I actually don't remember, not that I'm dead old just the dentist was not as big a deal to me as it was to other people.
I do remember getting a new toothbrush at every 6 month check-up and they used to be fancy, adorned with cartoon characters.

The fuck? I never got a toothbrush! This calls for an angry letter.

Dear Dentist,

Where's my toothbrush?
Give me one or I'll break your face.

Sincerely,

Miss... Mrs.... Ms? Louise Boyd

Louise Boyd said...

Miss. And you know me so well already.

P.S I still want stickers

What stickers do you think they give out now? It won't be Fred Flintstone that's for sure.

Louise Boyd said...

I bet they don't even give out stickers now. Cheap, surly bastards. But if they do i reckon they'll be covered in Peppa Pig and Dora the Explorer. I feel bad for kids these days, our generations cartoons were so much better. For example:

Count Duckula
The Racoons
The Herbs
The Smurfs
TMNT
Ghostbusters
Snorks
Ducktales
Animaniacs
Muppet Babies
Thundercats
Pinky and the Brain
Alvin and the Chipmunks
The Care Bears
Rugrats
Doug
He-Man
Rock's Modern Life
DangerMouse
Hey Arnold!
Ren & Stimpy
Fairly Odd Parents
King of the Hill (technically for adults but who's gonna stop me)
Dexter's Lab
Daria

I could probably go on but i won't.

You forgot Bevis and Butthead
Tailspin
Batman: The animated series
X-men
Spiderman (90's one)

But yeah we had amazing cartoons.
Kids today don't have these awesome adventures or coming of age tales, its all crap.

Louise Boyd said...

I was never a huge fan of the last three, except for the fact that the cartoon X-men is the only time they've made Storm the badass she deserves to be. Fuck Halle Berry.
TaleSpin though, can't believe i forgot TaleSpin! Baloo as a pilot is kind of genius, even though i'm not a huge Jungle Book fan.

thatdude said...

But it's the definitive Batman.
Kevin Conroy is the only Batman in my opinion. (Affleck was pretty good)
Mark Hamill will always be the joker
and it introduced the world to one Harley Quinn.
ITS AMAZING!!!!!

TaleSpin was an still is excellent.

Louise Boyd said...

Are you fucking kidding me? Keaton is the only Batman. THE ONLY!

thatdude said...

Nope Kevin Conroy is the only Batman.
Keaton is ok

I also forgot Goof Troop earlier
an animaniacs

Louise Boyd said...

Keaton is ok? OK?! We're you dropped on your head as a baby? - so sorry if you were but you're still a moron. Keaton's magnificent. And then you team him up with the greatest Catwoman of all time and he becomes out of this fricking world! "Ok." Pffffffffft! You know nothing.

I don't remember watching the Goof Troop but for some reason i remember Goofy's son wore shades a lot of the time?

thatdude said...

Yeah he did, I think it was a Sunday morning cartoon. Along with The Mighty Ducks cartoon.

Look Keaton was Ok
Bale was great
Clooney pathetic
Kilmer laughable
Adam West Genius
Kevin Conroy = Batman.
