On the 17th of January 2013, i woke up to discover two unexpected gifts.
I didn't see this coming.
I didn't even think Armin Mersmann would have any knowledge of my blog - it's so little - let alone take the time to write me such a thoughtful, honest and above all, supportive message.
I think i forget sometimes that i'm not the only artist in the world.
That sounds incredibly narcissistic but it's the simple fact that i live with myself every day, i'm only capable of knowing how i feel at all times and i'm not one to share.
I'll put it all over the internet, however.
More making of the sense that is not, my speciality.
I regret not talking to my university friends about the feelings of inadequacy that were debilitating me while i was still in education.
They were probably feeling just the same and would not have been able to fix my problems but perhaps then i wouldn't have felt so small and so alone in my situation.
To be a Fine artist in a contemporary art school is not easy, thus why i fled so spectacularly.
This year i'll be receiving my Ordinary Degree, after 4 years of the university kindly holding my space open so i could complete with my Honours.
Which i can do whenever i wish.
Hopefully they'd reaccept me but i'm not entirely sure DOJ is the place for me.
I'm not even sure if art is the right choice for me and until i know that i won't be returning to any institution of art.
It's really rather hard for someone like myself, who's ultimate goal within university was to receive a 1st and couldn't even bring themselves to start their final year.
It's all i wanted but i was a mess and it shouldn't have been what being an artist at art school was about.
I should have just wanted to create, instead i wanted to win.
Unhealthy but understandable.
I still want that 1st, i think i always will but if i go back to complete my degree, i just want to produce something that touches people.
Something i'm proud of.
But not too proud!
So, thank you Mr Mersmann.
I can't tell you how much receiving your message meant to me and how much it's given me to think about.
Happy Birthday for tomorrow and please keep producing your sublime works of art.
They may leave me timid but they are truly wonderful things to behold.
Also, to anyone who is currently at art school or even doing it solo and finds themselves in the same situation as i, message me if you'd like.
I can't fix it but i can empathise.
With bells on.
My other gift of the day was from my Mum.
It's always nice to wake up to a present, especially when you are utterly undeserving because of the ungodly hour you've finally dragged yourself out of bed to attempt functioning like a normal human being.
I won't tell you the hour but it was pretty bad.
The sun was going back down.
Shame, shame on me.
Thanks Mum.
You may be the only one i have but i still kinda think you're the best one.
Feel free to make barfing noises behind your computer screens at my unabashed soppiness!
I care not!

Happy New Year, Lilliputty. I hope you're having a stress free evening doing some of your favourite things :)
Don't Put Your Hands There by Scarlet Chives
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8DQw4exB7Wk
Lilliputty, you didn't send me Mint Oreos did you? They must have arrived a couple of days ago but I didn't open the parcel because I wasn't expecting anything. But now they're open and I'm happily stuffing my face with them not even caring if they were meant for me or not :D
I felt bad that i didn't bake you anything! Thus, Oreos. Although, to be perfectly honest, i can really only bake bread =/ I think i might try to learn some stuff this year though. Brownies for a start! And i've said i'll try and make chocolate mousse because every other member of my family makes it terribly 0_0 Think ganache rather than mousse =/
Ughhhh i've got a Christmas hangover. Too many people! Too much food! Too much crying over Harry Potter movies!
You didn't need to do that, Maggot. Although I would never discourage you from sending me food :)
I love chocolate mousse! It's one of my favourite desserts. Too bad it doesn't travel well. Maybe you could send some to me in a coolant filled shaving foam can like in Jurassic Park :)
Ugh, I still haven't got around to watching all of the Harry Potter films. I've seen the first 2 and parts of most of the other ones but that's about it (I haven't even seen Prisoner of Azkaban despite owning a copy on dvd). Do you have a favourite one?
A can of chocolate mousse? You barbarian! :D
A favourite Harry Potter movie? Hmm. That's actually quite tough. I think the last two conjoined movies are probably my favourites (The Deathly Hallows) with the previous movie thrown in for good measure (The Half-Blood Prince) but really, i count from the fourth movie onward (The Goblet of Fire) as all my favourites. It's when the books start to take a darker turn and i think become more adult books than children's books. Not that i don't love the first three in book or movie form, i fucking love them! I'm a total Harry Potter nerd. I very much wish i was a goddamn wizard and Hogwarts was a real school. It actually hurts me that it's not 0_0 And i think it's pretty amazing the standard of movies they managed to produce from these stories when so many others butcher literature to their own desires (ahem... Lord of the Rings). I can't count the number of times i've watched the HP movies and they still stand up even 6 years after the last movie. How often does that happen!
...
See. Nerd.
I'm gonna need you to read or watch them. They're truly fucking brilliant and i'm desperate for her to write more. It doesn't have to be Harry specifically but if she wanted to continue his story then i'll happily devour whatever she write. She could write about Newt Scamander or The Marauders or just about anything. I just want more! 0_0
I really wish I had gotten into the Harry Potter books and films when I was younger. I can't help feeling that I missed out on so much.
But I could genuinely listen to you talk about them all day and love every second of it. If I could, I'd get you to review all books and films for me.
I never really liked the Lord of the Rings films and I sometimes wonder if it was because I was obsessed with the books when I was a kid that they could never really match my imagination. I was such a sad case that I even made my own character index :S
P.s. I would eat chocolate mousse from anything
Can I go back and edit that chocolate mousse line?
Come On Over by Veronica Falls

From Emily's latest blog post:
"Now, around Christmas, with all our family around us, one of the things that my sisters and I find difficult is the subject of conversation and how it always falls towards politics, the war or death. My sisters and I don’t want to talk about that, politics ends in arguments and war and death end in depressing the conversation. We want to talk about books and TV and random rubbish because it’s Christmas and at Christmas we should be talking of enjoyable things."
This sums up my feelings so much :)
Finally got around to watching The Dream Team. Absolutely loved it :D Not even exaggerating. I know it's hardly a masterpiece but it was so my kind of film. You definitely know your 80s movies, Lilliputty :)
Probably the only time I've ever searched for a gif but I just had to (even though I have the vaguest memory of you posting this on your blog)
https://i2.wp.com/gifrific.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/iasip-dance.gif?ssl=1
Still can't believe you read 84 books in 2017. Well, actually, I can believe it because it's you and you're awesome. Although I sometimes worry that I wouldn't be able to hold a conversation with you because I'm not well read enough. I often worry about things like that.
I thought I would try and make Oreo Truffles one of these days. Someone brought them into work before Christmas and they were really good. Also they seem pretty easy to make compared to most things so I might stand a chance of doing okay :)
If you make Oreo Truffles i'm going to be so disgustingly jealous.
...
That's probably deserved though, right? After all these years of torturing you with various baked goods?
Still jealous though <_<
You could totally hold a conversation with me! I'm not intimidating in the slightest. Unless i'm hangry, then you should get out the fucking way until i've fed. Really though, i don't actually just talk about books all the time. I'd love to but i don't. Mostly because no one else in the house has read what i have =/ Especially since i've sunk into the YA fantasy wasteland. I've got to read something with some meat on its bones soon or my brain will start to melt into a dragon-shaped puddle 0_0
Well, I haven't made them yet :)
I think one of the first things I ever sent you was a copy of a young adult novel that you'd read when you were growing up called Vampire's Love :)
Hopefully get a chance to practice my ukulele this weekend :) I really want to learn a proper song.
My mum asked me to pick her up from work tonight and I ended up being dragged into someone's retirement party for an hour. I felt so awkward :S
Finally got around to following you and Emily on spotify. I should have done that ages ago. I'm such a shit friend.
I loved Emily's 12 days this year, especially the Oliver Platt references :) I had a vhs copy of The Three Musketeers when I was growing up so I do have a bit of a soft spot for that film :)
I forgot to say, Lilliputty, that I absolutely love the Christmas mix you sent me!
Also, Kermit on the cover :D
One day i'll run out of seasonally appropriate movies to adorn your mixes with but for the time being expect many more!
Favourite tracks, i must know!
I have such a deep and unrelenting craving for Riesens right now. Honestly all i can think about. I think about food too much =/
Eek, it's so difficult to choose favourites but I'll try my best after a few more listens :)
I'm scared that you might disown me but I don't think I've ever tried any form of Riesens before? :S
I really need to start watching more anime.
I think if I lived alone, I would probably live on pancakes. A bit like Kiki :)
Whenever I listen to Rivers by Black City Lights, I wish I could go back and discover some of the things on your blog for the first time.
I occasionally go through your Goodreads page like a creep to see what books you've read and how you rated them.
Hah! I'm going to take it as a creepy compliment if that helps? Any of my ratings shock you? I sometimes get confused when i look at them and see i've given a classic a 3 and some YA fantasy fluff a 4 or 5.
I keep forgetting to give you this:
https://www.watchcartoononline.com/anime/yuri-on-ice
My sister forced me to watch Yuri On Ice and i'm glad she did because it's lovely but hot damn, look at all the free anime/cartoons on this website! I'm gonna be devouring ALL of Bob's Burgers exceedingly soon.
Ps. Never tried Riesens? Get that shit sorted, son.
I fucking love you, Maggot! They have the dubbed version of El Hazard: The Magnificent World! Aw man, I'm just so bloody happy right now :D
I just assume that any book you rate 5 stars must be frickin' great because you have the best taste :)
It's times like these you're glad you put up with me, right?
I'm never quite sure which one of us is putting up with the other :)
Oh, it's straight up you putting up with me. I'm a handful!
It's okay. You make me mixed cds :)
And they're not half bad, if i do say so myself!
How's the ukulele learning going?
I love having a ukulele to play around with when I'm bored. I'll send you something when I'm good enough :)
I've been re-watching El Hazard: The Magnificent World and I genuinely laughed out loud when I got to the bit where Jinnai names his bug warriors Groucho, Harpo, Zeppo, Gummo, Chico, and Margaret after the Marx Brothers and Margaret Dumont (who appeared in some of their films). This is why I love the english dub so much :)
Sorry, I'm such a loser.
No apologies, this is why you're my bud.
Nudge.
Did I tell you I have next week off? I'll probably spend it watching cartoons, listening to music and playing my uke. And not feeling the least bit bad about any of it.
https://yohuna.bandcamp.com/track/the-moon-hangs-in-the-sky-like-nothing-hangs-in-the-sky
So I was watching Temple of Doom for about the hundredth time last night and thought that the guy helping Indy onto the plane at the beginning looked a bit like Dan Aykroyd so I looked it up and it turns out it is Dan Aykroyd!
My life is super interesting.

I got dragged to a food market yesterday and bought some ridiculously overpriced chocolate which I proceeded to consume in the space of 10 minutes. I suck at life.
Magnetic by Some Ember
https://someember.bandcamp.com/track/magnetic
I beg to differ. The absolute only thing to do with overpriced food is to devour it without any ounce of grace. It all comes out the same way anyhow! :D
Question (which i could ask google but i'm a sloth): Do i watch Fullmetal Alchemist or Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood first?
I'm so useless. I can't really comment on Fullmetal Alchemist because I've never seen it. I've only seen Brotherhood which is really good and I highly recommend it :) You probably know this already but the two series aren't really related in that one is not a sequel to the other. From what I gather, both series start off kinda the same but while Brotherhood follows the manga more closely, the original series goes off in its own direction.
Brotherhood is probably the slightly more highly regarded series which is why I bought it over the original series :) It's pretty funny too despite it having a fairly serious storyline. Actually, some of the stuff they cover is quite dark (there's a particular episode early on about chimeras which is genuinely one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen), so the humour does help a lot.
The series does start off fairly episodic but it soon gets into the main storyline which is pretty good although like a lot of animes, it isn't always completely logical and it does end up being a little confusing - I'm still not 100% sure what the main bad guy's ultimate goal was :) But a lot of elements of the main story are really, really good. For me, I think the best things about it were all the supporting characters and also the world it is set in. It reminds me of a Miyazaki film, especially Howl's Moving Castle, in that it's set in a sort of magical early 20th century European world which I absolutely love :) And there are so many characters that start off just seeming like throwaways that end up being given so much more development than you would have any right to expect.
So, not sure if I've made you want to watch Brotherhood or put you off completely :)
P.s. Looking at all the stuff you enjoyed, I reckon your January was way more interesting than my January :)
Oh no, i totally have to watch it now! You've yet to steer me wrong with anime, dear boy. I'll never be able to thank you enough for Cowboy Bebop. Never ever! I never understood cartoon crushes until Spike Spiegel rocked up in my universe. He's sitting in funko form in my room right this second. Along with Radical Edward :)
Aw thanks, Maggot. I reckon you would have found it for yourself anyway :)
Cowboy Bebop will always have a special place for me. It helped me through a lot of days in Edinburgh :) I can't even remember the real reason I bought it. I'd never seen an episode before and I didn't know anyone who'd seen it. I think I just felt like watching some anime one day and did a bit of research online. I definitely got lucky :) That must have been way back in 2006 :S
I wish I was a genuine anime fan, then I could probably recommend a ton of good stuff to you :) I'm not just being modest, I really don't know that much about anime. In fact, you probably know as much as I do now if not more. All I really know is Miyazaki, Cowboy Bebop, and some random 90s animes that for some reason we owned when I was growing up :)
You must have a pretty amazing funko collection now! :D

I'm so sorry, Lilliputty, that it has taken me so long to get back about this. Below are my favourite tracks from the Christmas mix :)
Roxy Music - More Than This
Broken Beak - Nausea
Laura K - Apologise
Wolf Alice - Space & Time
Wy - Bathrooms
Zola Jesus - In Your Nature (David Lynch Remix)
Tammar - The Last Line
Keaton Henson - Don't Dance
Perfume Genius - Floating Spit
Turnover - Super Natural
It's so difficult to pick one but I'm currently obsessed with the Laura K & Zola Jesus tracks :)
You really are pretty fucking magical.
I forgot how much I love the film Commando. It's kind of like watching a really great bad movie except that it knows how ridiculous it's being (without ever feeling like a parody).

I'm so annoyed with myself that I completely forgot to make you a properly sized sleeve for your birthday mix. It's only been about 6 months :(
I actually made the original at work (seeing as I don't have a printer at home) and it's really difficult there to find some time to myself. I probably told you that we're in temporary offices at the moment (for about the last 15 months) and we're pretty much not allowed to stay past 5pm. I miss my old office where I could stay as late as I wanted to work on these important projects :)

Reading back over my messages the last few weeks, it does seem like my life revolves almost entirely around music and films :S
Think I need to re-read All My Friends Are Superheroes :)
Hmm, I think today is a Wednesday Addams/Camp Chippewa t-shirt kind of day :)
Every couple of weeks I go on youtube to search for 'Today Is The Day' by Yo La Tengo. It used to have a really great music video that has now disappeared. I keep hoping that one day it's suddenly going to be there again.
My life is ridiculous :)
Random film opinion. I think The Terminator is James Cameron's best film by quite some distance. I love how efficient it is :) It's pretty much the only film he's ever done that isn't overlong or full of dumb characters. He's kind of like a modern day David Lean. Technically brilliant but a shit storyteller in desperate need of a good screenwriter and/or editor.
Ps. My opinions are worthless :)

Indeed but remember, dear heart, i'm a cretinous monster :)
You're just about the least cretinous person I know.
You could be a monster though. A sleep monster. I'd reckon you'd bite my face off if I ever tried to wake you :)
You're not wrong. I seem to recall sleepily trying to punch Sarah in the face once when she was trying to drag me from my pit. Needless to say, she was more cautious the next time :) It's lucky i don't have claws.
I now have images in my head of your sisters prodding you with a long stick whenever they need to wake you up :)
What? Like in Friends? Am i Ugly Naked Guy?!
I haven't seen Friends in a million years but even if you hadn't mentioned the show, I still would have understood that reference. Like Captain America and the flying monkeys :)
I think this is the only time I will ever compare myself to a superhero :)
I'll probably be the one to turn into Ugly Naked Guy. I look like shit these days :S

Okay, what gives with packaging these days? One of those plastic tie things just stabbed me in the thumb and drew blood. Fucking blood! Last week i sliced the other thumb to ribbons on a can lid without realising until hours afterwards =/
I demolished them even before I was sure they were for me :) I sometimes worry that I'll bleed sugary red syrup. Did I say worry? I meant hope :)

Dream Analysis (EP) by Jesse Ruins

I've decided to add the first Mission Impossible film to my list of favourite 90s films. I'd forgotten how great it is :)
Yeah, my taste in films sucks :)
In this case... i've got to agree but that might just be because the MI movies just don't float my boat. The only one i find tolerable is the third and that's just because of my unquenchable crush on Jonathan Rhys Meyers =/ I might sometimes on occasion let my hormones lead my movie watching.
...
I have no shame.
Dearest, 10 years of pain? And you've only done something now?! You're so like me it hurts 0_0 And speaking as a fellow 'has skin will suffer' type of humanoid, i feel your pain. From childhood eczema, to extreme hypersensitivity (eg. i shook out a blanket a few days ago and the dust/fibres made my face pink and itchy for the entire fucking day -_-), to a recent development of sporadic but near constant dermatitis on the top left of my left palm (not inconvenient at fucking all) i so get the suckiness that is the largest organ on the human body. Oh to have perfect baby skin!
What you get to alleviate the pain? Just out of interest. I like remedies.
Ps. Is it weird that i just sorted the sweetie box you sent me into categories and put them in separate ziplock bags? ... My OCD may be getting out of control but hot damn, i felt so soothed afterwards 0_0
I don't know what it says about me that I quite like learning those kind of things about you. I don't mean that I'm glad you have some skin ailments, but just knowing about them. If that makes sense :S
I just bought some anti-fungal cream. I think it was a fungal infection and it seems to be working so I'm guessing it probably was :) It was on my inner thigh and I had a really bad habit of scratching it in my sleep. I think you're the only person I've actually told about my skin problems. I bet you feel so special :)
'Is it weird that i just sorted the sweetie box you sent me into categories and put them in separate ziplock bags?'. Haha, maybe. But it just make me think you're even more awesome if that's even possible :)
I've never actually seen MI3, just the first 2 (and I don't like the second one at all). Sometimes I think I just like a film because I used to own it on VHS when I was a kid and it makes me feel nostalgic :)
I hope you have a good weekend, Maggot :)

I reckon so. Knowing we're both kinda gross and not really caring at all :)
I thought of a really pointless question. Are there any pretty famous films that you think I'd be surprised to learn you've never seen?
I'll definitely be buying one of those Dairy Milk Oreo chocolate bars! I take your chocolate recommendations very seriously. Well, I know it's more of an order than a recommendation really :) Also, please feel free to make sandwich filling suggestions :)
I still absolutely love this music video for some reason.

Damn fine, isn't it? I can feel myself gearing up to go on a Covers rampage.
Famous films i haven't seen but totally should have? Hmm. Well. Let's see:
Pulp Fiction
Reservoir Dogs
2001: A Space Odyssey
Animal House
Cool Hand Luke
The Great Escape
Casablanca
Roman Holiday
Jan Svankmajer's Alice
Paper Moon
Hellraiser
Nightmare on Elm Street (this one actually shocks me)
Dracula (Christopher Lee's of course
Cinema Paradiso
I could go on but i'd be here all night =/ I'm shockingly bad at watching movies. More so now than when i was younger and trying to devour everything in sight. Ugh. I'm so oldddddd.
Anything and everything in your 'April' blog post. You really are the most ridiculously interesting person I'll ever know.
Well, I've only seen 4 films on that list (Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Casablanca, The Great Escape). I'm probably more likely to have seen older films since I used to be a total classic film geek in high school. Then, in Edinburgh, I started buying all these 80s & 90s films on dvd just to cheer myself up and that kinda stuck :) It's actually embarrassing the number of great films released in the last 15 years that I haven't seen (and probably have no intention of seeing). Meh :)
I've got 3 days off now and my parents are away so I can sit alone in the conservatory, stare out the window and contemplate my life. Actually, I'll probably be in my bedroom with headphones on - y'know, the same thing I do every day :)
A film I haven't seen that I really want to see - Picnic at Hanging Rock. For some reason, I've been thinking about it a lot these last few days :S

Finally got around to making oreo truffles. Well, they're half made. I've still got to coat them in chocolate. So basically I've just mixed 2 ingredients in a bowl :S

I can probably never thank you enough for introducing me to Wy :D
The oreo truffles were a resounding success.
A moderate success.
Fairly successful.
They were edible.
Nobody died.

I strongly doubt there is anyone who knows more about YA fantasy books than yourself. You're kind of awesome that way :)
Early American Dad was so good.
Ugh, I really need to grow up.
I sometimes wonder if I'll ever read the first two Gormenghast books again. I absolutely loved reading them the first time around but my brain is like mush these days :S
Nice weather this weekend. Of course, I spent it indoors re-watching the first 3 Indiana Jones films. Worth it.
Parents go away this week for about a month. I should probably be more excited but I always end up going borderline insane when I'm left to my own devices :S
I'm the same. I only realised recently that i like solitude but i don't like to be alone. So, i'll stick to my room and use my time just for me but i like knowing there are other people in the house i can be with if i need it. It's horribly selfish or maybe just normal? I don't think i know what "normal" behaviour is anymore =/
Forgot to say, Amazon Studios have made a mini-series of Picnic at Hanging Rock with Natalie Dormer, so you know it's going to be at least partially awesome. It's one of those movies i've always meant to watch as well.
Just some 80s. Self Control by Laura Branigan. Love the Miami Vice music video too.

I'm still not sure if I'm happy on my own or not. I still feel that need for constant validation which totally sucks :S
I'm so out of touch with series, Lilliputty. It's a good job I have you :) Actually, there seems to be a pretty decent dvd of the film available so maybe I'll buy that.
Motherfucker deleted my message. Here we go again:
If you ever need tv recommendations then i'm your girl. Can't say i've been bowled over by anything recently but Dark was really good if you're up for subtitles. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt's hilarious but you should watch 30 Rock first to get a grip on Tina Fey's particular brand of humour. I've heard really great things about Halt and Catch Fire and Braindead from Em. Wynonna Earp's hilarious. Can't remember if i've managed to get you to watch Penny Dreadful yet, if not, get it sorted! Over the Garden Wall's really sweet and has a certain song you'll be plagued by for days.
I think my biggest recommendation at the moment would be Schitt's Creek Be warned though, it's real Marmitey. I wasn't even very sure if liked it to begin with and now it's one of my favourite shows.
I've bought and watched Penny Dreadful (seasons 1 & 2). Probably because you ordered me to :D
Out of those shows, the only other ones I'd heard of (even though I've never watched them) were 30 Rock and Over the Garden Wall (I'm really curious about that song now). Also, looking at the cast for Schitt's Creek, I do know that Eugene Levy and Catherine O'Hara were the winning couple in the film 'Best in Show' :)
Ugh, I really need to get Netflix, don't I? :S

That's definitely the way I want to go out :)

Pointless film opinion. This is the first time I've seen Die Hard with a Vengeance the whole way through and even though I thought it was pretty good, the final scene is just downright terrible.

You really are just... something else.
This is the second weekend in a row that I've had to give up to help with a fundraising event and deal with my social anxiety (serving Sunday teas at some old country house). That's it. I'm done for the year.
Yes, I realise I'm a terrible human being.
I probably shouldn't want this but I'm really kinda hoping that it rains heavily.
Red Letter Media did a Critters review and I kinda want to see the first 2 films now.

I'm on annual leave next week. And I'll have the house to myself most of the time. I should probably be more excited but I know I'll end up wasting all my days on nothing :S
I'm averaging 3-4 hot chocolates a day at the moment. I think I need help.
I completely forgot it was Emily's birthday the end of May. I hope she had a good day.
Every time I take a week off work I feel like I turn into Tom Hanks in the 'burbs :S
I never realised before how much swearing there is in Crocodile Dundee.
As you can tell, I've been spending my days productively :S

Pancakes - the one thing in the world that I'm actually good at :)
Shitsticks. Blogger's stopped emailing me comments and me being me... i forgot to check =/ Sorry, bud. Being a worse friend than usual!
Em had a good day. Birthday's are always sucky for her but it was pretty good by all accounts. Half the family were walking incubi though, kinda killed the birthday buzz. Cake though!
Why do you keep being made to do charitable things? Are people trying to make you... good? o_O
Ps. Tom Hanks in The 'Burbs takes down the creepers next door. Soooo not a bad thing to be.
That's okay. I'm like the Terminator when it comes to leaving messages on here. Not sure if that's a good thing :S
I reckon I'm fundamentally a good person (or, at least, can be talked into doing good things) despite my utter self-absorption :)
Your daily messages are a highlight, dear boy. I get a weird feeling when i've checked and there isn't one waiting for me yet =/ I might be a little attached to you.
Self-absorbed? Pffft. You got nothing on me, son. Or we're equally matched in our narcissistic tendencies but too into our own shit to even figure that out... ? 0_0 It doesn't really matter, i like thee!
...
Thee?
Fuck, i'm pretentious -_-
Since we still like each other after all this time, maybe we're not quite as selfish as we make ourselves out to be :)
'Thee?
Fuck, i'm pretentious -_-'
I think a painful level of self-awareness is another thing we probably have in common :)
For some reason I find it really difficult to make proper playlists, the ones you can put onto a cd. It fries my brain trying to put one together :S
To quote John Cusack in High Fidelity...
"The making of a good compilation tape is a very subtle art. Many do's and don'ts. First of all you're using someone else's poetry to express how you feel. This is a delicate thing."
I live by those words. Why do you think my mixes are so badass?
...
*suffocates under own ego*
Do you enjoy the mixes you make for me as much as I do? :)
I do. It's wonderfully narcissistic.
What kind of mixes are you trying to make? Do they have a theme?
