I've noticed an increasing number of book sculptures in the past few years. I really like the aesthetic, although part of me feels that there's something inherently wrong about 'damaging' a book - I can probably overlook that for these as they're so painstakingly made ;).

It is a conundrum and one i haven't really spent too much time pondering, much to my shame as a die-hard book lover and defender against the ever encroaching digital overlords.
I think i've been far too taken with the aesthetics to consider the destructive side. But really, how could you encounter a Sue Blackwell construction and not fall helplessly in love?
