I know JGL has only signed on as a producer but the mere possibility of him playing Dream is enough to make me catatonic.

I may actually need some hard liquor to calm me down at this point.

...and i don't drink, so this could end...face-planty.

One qualm however.

This should be a tv series.

Not a film.

There is nowhere near enough scope in an hour and a half+ to deal with The Sandman.

There just isn't.

It's 75 issues long for Gaiman's sake.

And who should be in charge of this bad boy?

I'd pin my hopes on a collaboration between Daniel Knauf as screenwriter and Guillermo Del Toro as director.

Now that...would be a thing of beauty.

And i know, i know, Del Toro's my choice for most fantasy-based things but there's no way to overlook that even though his movies' content may be a little sketchy, they are still some of the most iconic looking fantasy films of contemporary cinema.

Pan's Labyrinth alone makes him an unshakeable contender for the king of quixotic escapism.

So...suck it, haters.

This isn't happening anyway.
