This has been on my mind a lot lately as people are already beginning to get sick. In an ideal world of course people would not need to be out in the streets literally FIGHTING for their lives and rights during a pandemic, but this is not an ideal world. Black populations were already facing a disproportionate level of Covid deaths due to long standing social and economic inequities, but how can we expect them to NOT react to the racist violence that is prevalent in every part of America. This country and its deeply problematic financial priorities have put these people between a rock and a hard place and I’m proud of and inspired by the people who have not let that deter them. There are resources for donating to Covid relief in the link in my bio, but many of the bail and BLM organizations I’ve already advertised are using their money to try and help people who may get sick by keeping them supported and out of jail. Give if you can. #blacklivesmatter
